Description
Crossover Lighthouse derives its name from its location being at the point the shipping channel crossed over from the American to Canadian Channel along the international boundary in the years prior to the development of the St. Lawrence Seaway. The lighthouse was built after the recommendation of a Naval officer who saw the need for a lighthouse in that area to assist in navigating the waterway.
Today Crossover Lighthouse remains an iconic landmark located a short distance downriver from Singer Castle.
